New At The Zoo

There are so many reasons to visit the Zoo again and again this year. Our beautiful meerkat exhibit housing our "mob" of meerkats will open this year. Plus, don't miss our new Cape porcupine and Von der Decken's hornbill!

Construction on the front entry and new inclusively designed pathway (ADA) will be complete in time for opening day. The renovated Entry Valley will allow our guests to readily access the Zoo from the moment they arrive. Additionally, these improvements will help our conservation efforts in the collection and reuse of stormwater run-off and improve our infrastructure as we prepare for future animal habitats.

In the park, our new universally designed playground is ready for play! The design allows anyone to access the playground to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. It also includes sensory features for the visually impaired.

BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise is a special exhibit this year featuring more than 40 life-sized animal sculptures created with over 1.8 million individually colored building bricks! The exhibition debuts opening day and illustrates the importance of the preservation of endangered species by bringing important animal and habitat facts and statistics to life in an entertaining fun brick-built environment. The sculptures are located throughout the Zoo and the exhibit is free for members.
